How Young Should My Toy-boy/Girl Be?

# 1 : Sunday 15-5-2016 @ 10:49

I have been back on the dating scene since I started loosing weight again, just to work on my confidence. And now I have to choose which of 10 guy/girl to give a longer try to.

Should I put an age bracket to not consider anyone too young or too old? Some friends have suggested that some are too young for me, and that some may be only interested in my situation (which is silly as I did not tell them too much about it!)
The youngest girl is 21, and the oldest guy is 78.

Yes!
I usually do not care about what others think, but since I started looking around me a bit more, I am interested in people's opinions more. And I want to judge myself before being judged, if it makes sense?

Go with the good-old staple, half your age plus 7.

so 34 going on 35. Sadly, this puts me out of your bracket.

We can still fool around though, but only in secret.

Then the higher bracket is 96! Are you crazy?
Going by you rule, if I am not ready to date a 96 year old but only a 78 year old, should I not increase the 35? Maybe by half the difference.
35+96-78/2=44

So now I can only date a 44 year old. 3 people left! The good news is that 2 have the highest income, so now I have to decide: 78 guy or 52 woman.

Dating is so much simpler with numerology!

Seriously, where did you pull that silly rule?

It's a well known social theory that's been bouncing around for years.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_disparity_in_sexual_relationshi etc ...

Age seems the main focus here - what about rapport? Personality? Life experiences? Shared passions? Would they be aware or agreeable of being known as your toy? etc.

Woah there. As large as the demograph is for 90 year old lesbians, you'll be revealed to learn you don't 'have to' be willing to date them. The rule is an extremely well known rule of thumb for younger-older yes,but the person you're dating obviously needs to be willing to date you too, you don't swing in like Tarzan and carry them off on your shoulders providing their in shooting distance.

Seriously, where did you pull that silly rule?

From planet Earth, where it exists as a well known social anecdote.
