Shame on journalists and reporters and news outlets: they reported that Trump said the NHS was in scope of the trade negotiations, and then that he backtracked.
The obvious reality is that when asked "is the NHS in scope", he had no clue what the NHS was (and to be honest it is understandable), but instead of acknowledging it he did the manager's thing to save face and served a generic "everything is on the table."
Serious reporters should have followed-up with questions like "so you mean national health is on the table?" or other follow-up questions to expose his ignorance (which again would have been forgivable if acknowledged).
Thank gods for civil servants cleaning his messes, for all the times he says "yes" because he does not understand the question!
