Big change to the parade route this year. Stephens Green to Smithfield with part of the route still being decided.

I actually really miss the smallness of Dublin Pride, the civic offices and not being mostly a huge commercial ad for giant corporates. That being said I do think the proposed changes are a good idea. It would be nice to have something at the beginning as a rally the troops.

They also make a good point about Pride needing members to be truly representative and I would reccomend people join.

The form to join is here.

I enjoyed the post parade gathering at the Civic Offices but as the attendance grew each year it was obvious that we had to relocate. I dont think Merrion Square worked as it was too spread out. Looking forward to see how Smithfield works out this year.

Yeah Merrion Square seemed a bit disjointed.

Most people were in the park for the speeches which was disappointing. The new plan looks so much better.

Do you think Dublin pride would ever invite someone famous to sing and take part in the parade, Cher was just at Sydney Mardi gras.
