I think there should be a ban on places where you can use drones.
And the thing is the airport spokesman said they could not jam the scrambling system.
And shooting it down would be dangerous in a public place.
They are now saying there was more then one.

There is a ban on certain places, and near airports is one in Britain.

It’s shite the airlines don’t have to compensate for delays caused by drones though !
They kept passengers on planes for hours without water or food .
Drones are worked through WiFi it shouldn’t be that difficult to shut them down ? Though it seems when they were they went home like homing pigeons and couldn’t be tracked.
I think hacking is a problem with drones.
Drones in some tourist spots can be really annoying, they fly around like insects getting too close .

Why did we pay 30million towards a sports stadium with huge cost overruns that can't even be played in ?

And Why are the government spending €35 million on a concert venue for Cork that they will receive no profits from in the future.? https://www.independent.ie/business/irish/construction-begins-on- etc ...

You have to schedule your heart attack in Waterford between mon-fri 9am-5pm because there is no money for a second cath lab.!! Priorities.??

I thought the government gave 9 million and then told them it's a loan and the project sort of unravelled ...
Or was the 9 million extra?

I still don't understand how 30 million was just handed for a cork stadium redo - with zero oversight - and the result - massive debt and an unplayable stadium = total failure .
Will anybody be fired? Of course not the thought that anybody might take responsibility no it's a laughing stock

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said that he has "absolute confidence" in the Minister for Health, saying that Simon Harris was someone who had "delivered" as a minister. https://www.rte.ie/news/politics/2019/0208/1028253-childrens-hosp etc ...

A yeah.. The Nurses are on strike, The Psychiatric Nurses are on strike, the GP's are talking about a possible strike, over a million people on waiting lists & a €2 billion hospital with no parking or access.. Sure he's doing a bang up job, good man Leo.!

Wish i could be that piss-poor at my job and not get fired..

Get a gold plated pension, after 30 months and even if you bankrupt the country.

Nobody should get a pension until they are 65 or is it 68 now and even politicians should have to serve a minimum of years - 21 years or more . They get a good salary and a lot of perks why should they get a fat pension as well when a lot of them are 2 career people anyway !

Is the builder of the children's hospital the same as the convention centre in cork? They couldn't be the same who built the sports stadium in cork?
Litany of failure & cost overruns and nobody is to blame
It could only happen in the - wait - private sector but they are getting huge injections of public money ...

No BAM Are doing the Hospital & the Entertainment center in Cork. SISK done Pairc Ui Chaoimh.. The tendering process seems to be fundamentally flawed.. Awarding contracts to the lowest bidder seems to be encouraging construction companies to seriously under quote the estimate just to land the job, then they tack on the extra millions/billions required.. And of course the gullible Irish tax-payer will quietly foot the bill.

If they had good lawyers drawing up the tenders those bidding would be locked into a contract where they'd have to pay the taxpayer for time delays or any cost over runs
Not the way it is now.
When the banks collapsed all of their books had been signed off by firms like Pwc and Deloitte and even now they sign off with one hand and then they get paid to investigate cost overruns half a million !
They should all have been fined after the bank collapse and there should have been much more oversight of their activities.

Underbidding and then raising prices is clear breach of the tendering process and it smells of insider dealing, the police should be investigating everybody involved in the process .
Bam should be fined the money should be recovered and they should just restart the process.

State of the place when I moved back in this weekend. The worst of it was the patch painting they done when they took parts of the walls and ceilings down and ruined the paintwork
The whole complex is costing 9 million to put this new fire alarm system in every apartment. The receiver is not paying anything extra for people to get their walls painted nicely. So we're left with a right eyesore
