Why do some people do the following at the cinema......

Saunter in late about 15 minutes in the film disturbing a row of people already comfortable in their seats.

Don't put their phones on silent and/or are scrolling through their Instagram feed for most of the movie.

The cinema companies themselves aren't getting off lightly either. Cineword and VUE show at least 25 minutes of ads, trailers and their own branded advertising beforehand.

I like going to the cinema as much as I can but my list of pet hates when I go is increasing.

There's something very funny about this hospital contract, if bam tendered 600million let's say and then their costs went to 1.2billion, why do we taxpayers have to pay? Surely our lawyers put in the contract that cost overruns would be borne by the contractor?
We (taxpayers) throw money hand over fist at these accountant firms like Pwc that incredibly are allowed to advise bam yet at the same time ate paid half a million of tax payers money to tell the government how taxpayers money was overspent ?????
Hello wake up half a million euro - who knows who
Does this government have no clue what a clause in s contract is or what kind of clauses lawyers can put in contracts or what kind of clawbacks lawyers can get back from contractors.
Why are they behaving like the money is gone?
Where are their legal team?

Leo and Pascal are up to their necks in the shit of the hospital overspend .
Their board appointee had to inform them it's in their mandate - immediately - of anything happening so they knew .
If Leo put Harris into health to kill his career it looks like Harris might have the last laugh - meanwhile Simon is also very entwined with BAM .
Are we back into brown envelopes territory? Will we hear that BAM were knocking up extensions and renovations for government tds and their families?
Where is this police corporate enforcement unit?

Now bam say we'll let you end the hospital contract early but woah does the taxpayer have to pay them????? Do they think this will stop the investigation of the tender process and overspend ( we spent half a million to Pac on a report we haven't gotten yet).
If bam want out they have to pay the money back with a penalty clause no let off of investigations.
No more high priced reports.
We need the cab and forensic accountants from the garda.
No more contractors quoting low on government contracts and then ramping up costs, the contracts should be filled with penalty clauses so the taxpayer claws back these costs.
If they can't manage that revenue should tax cost overruns to make them unprofitable for companies.

The rhi scheme has gone tits up in the north leaving Arlene foster and the dup with a massive credibility issue with their voters .an issue unfortunately the BBC has not tackled strange that since it could lead to the leader of the party resigning, the party the holds their gov on power.
Arlene foster signed letters of guarantee for people who invested in the rhi scheme and they planned accordingly, now her words mean nothing, looks like her days as leader are numbered. The fallout from this corrupt scheme could be far reaching .

Fuck fuck fuckity fuck

The power has gone in my apartment. The neighbours and the street lighting are still on. I checked ESB website and there is a fault and it should be fixed by 9.30pm. I'll have to reset my alarm clock, cooker etc.
Have to say ESB have a good informative website.

I drove home to Kerry over the weekend for some family events before my brothers wedding in September. I'd forgotten now many "Sunday drivers" exist on our roads. These drivers are plodding along at about 40km per hour without a care in the world that a queue of cars is forming behind them.

Before anyone asks, I don't speed but can very slow drivers get penalised on the roads also?

No, there's a max speed limit and no minimum. It should be law, if you're driving under 50% of the max speed limit to pull over and let traffic pass if there are more than 5 cars behind you.

I think patience is needed on the roads, I just add extra time in the summer and on Sundays.

Treasurer of fAI asked how many bank accounts it had, he said 1, turns out FAI has 23 bank accounts
They receive public monies and their accounts have to be independently signed off
No organisation in receipt of public money should have a permanent board, they should have to quit after 5 years.
