My Sky Television has been down for 2 days now. When it happened last year I was charged €40 for the phonecall to an 1800 number. Then before the engineer came out it fixed itself. The engineer said he'd cancel the callout but I was billed €50 for it anyway.
I rang twice today and was on hold for 10 mins each time. I ended the calls in frustration. No sign of any agent. I'll try again tomorrow but I bet I will rack up €50 with the phonecalls.

No. Just no signal. The engineer is booked to come out in the morning. We tried a manual reset over the phone but no joy.
Oh and he rang me straight back when I told him about the cost of the phonecall.

Check the cables in back of box, the signal ones that screw into it, disconnect each one and tighten fitting on it. Then re-connect them, see if that fixes it?

Ah I did all that and a manual reset before I called them.
Anyway the engineer has been and gone and couldn't fix it. I told them it was a communal dish but they sent the wrong engineer out. I'll have to wait till Wednesday to get it sorted.

Are others on that dish, having similar issues or is it just you?

Engineer rang me this morning. There was a problem with the communal dish. He could fix it from the outside so it's working again

A few apartments in the block were affected.

Everyone says I'm silly paying for Sky and should get a dodgy box off one of my colleagues.

Make sure that box, has no STD's and stay safe.

Fucking whacked three toes a bad bang on the steel leg of my sofa this morning. I was in my bare feet. They are not broken because I can move my toes (with great pain) but they are badly bruised already this evening. It will look mad tomorrow!

Ridiculously painfull.. Boshed my big toe off the banister once, about 20 years ago on a late night pee run.. Couldn't walk right for about two weeks & can still remember the pain.. Ice pack might help..
