Gray Pride

# 1 : Sunday 10-12-2017 @ 10:52

I have to reasons to promote Gray Pride, none of which are vested interests, for now.

First, I am sick and tired of people, mostly women, feeling pressured to dye their hair to avoid going gray (or grey). Whatever excuse they have, it is down to social pressure. Gray hair looks great, and women have no objective reasons to fear aging.

The tyranny of face-lifts and died hair is no better than forcing women into Burqas. It is a way to hide them from view based on the domination by perverts. They are 2 extremes of the same sexist oppressions. If these chauvinist pigs don't want to see it, they can blind themselves.

Second, I am sick and tired of the "youthism" promoted by the world of marketing, advertisement, and so called fashion, that consider that the only accessible sexuality is the sexuality of the youth. If anything, this is one of the direct causes of the serge of pedophilia and sexual abuse in these "cesspits", from Hollywood to the Vatican.
We should embrace mature sexuality, where older men do not feel that their power and money entitles them to younger lovers/slaves. Where everyone can appreciate their own ageing as something more than a disgusting decrepitude.
Where we all mature sexually as we mature in age, and do not get stuck in a repulsive attraction beyond what is age-appropriate. So let's embrace gray: from the color of hair to the color of pubes!

I dunno, grey hair doesn't always look great especially in it's early stages when it can look patchy and brittle. Yes social pressure plays a part but it can be difficult for men and women when their hair changes prematurely.

We all have make big speeches about accepting who we are, etc.
That's when we can put it in practice!

Dying your hair will not make it more brittle, quite the opposite.
Instead it enslaves to you a permanent chemical addiction, on the grounds that "your roots are showing."

I strongly feel we have to encourage our elders to commit to their natural hair color and how to evolves.

Don't get the link between "youthism" and paedophilia, seems a lazy and dangerous assumption to make.

Neither lazy nor dangerous.
When the cult of youth is pushed as far as finding excuses for a 40 year old to sleep with a 16 yo who "looked 18", it is a direct road to paedophilia (understood widely as under-age sex, and not limited to prepubescence... there is no difference really with so called "Hebephilia" excuses)
That cult of youth has led to a cult of hairlessness which is promoting attraction to non-adult bodies.
The cult of youth has normalized the idea that sexual desire should stop in time and only be geared towards the youngest possible forms: any maturity of the body is perceived as decay.

Breasts have to be firm, gray has to be dyed, pilosity has to be strictly controlled, especially in women, faces have to be without lines, eyes have to be unmarked, noses and ears have to be hairless, women's (and sometimes men's) armpits and upperlips have to be obsessionally epilated, arse cheeks too, flawless facial skin.
And that only occurs naturally in... children.
The vision of "youth" itself as sold and marketed by the soft-porn industry is a fantasy, are artificial version of an innocent body waiting to be deflowered by a 65 year old fat film producer.

It's admittedly harder for a grey female actor / personality than a male but outside of US and possibly larger European cities it's easier to have a natural hair color i.e. Grey and in fact salt-pepper is a popular color for confident women.

Ageing naturally is an issue especially as the retirement age moves to 70 and above in the future .

I have a greying "salt and pepper" look and people says it suits me pretty well. It's greying very slowly - has been for the past 6/7 years.

My eldest sister, who is 48, has let her hair go grey completely and I think it looks well on her. Grey hair doesn't carry the same ageist stigma as it did years ago.

Is this just your opinion or can you back your post up with research results ?

I turn 40 in a few months and I'm surprised I've not started going grey yet as my dad started to go grey around that age. Spotted the odd grey stray hair on my beard but that quickly gotten rid of.

That's a truly shocking story, but it does not support the argument put forward by the thread opener.

There is a link between fashion / make up industry and the sexualisation of younger and younger children e.g. Jon Bennett Ramsey ,
How many brands have used the adage " sex sells" and the complaint that models have gotten younger and younger is well known , the underlying theme doesn't need research when it's there for all to see.

Where there are children you find paedophiles and where there are vulnerable children you find organized paedophiles.
The only solution is chemical castration.
