Eh, think he was famous for a tad more than that actually.

No. Only his tickle stick. (And his admiration of Margaret Thatcher.)

There's no doubting his intelligence but, i did find him quite condescending at times.. I like this quote though..

On euthanasia: "The victim should have the right to end his life, if he wants. But I think it would be a great mistake. However bad life may seem, there is always something you can do, and succeed at. While there's life, there is hope"- Quoted in People's Daily Online, June 2006

Liam Óg O'Flynn, piper, aged 72.

He was a member of Planxty - he was the odd one out because he didn't look like a hippy but dressed like a civil servant. Hut his love of and talent for the music was no less creative or strong that his hairy-headed fellow band members'.

He later played pipes with Kate Bush and Mark Knopfler, among others.

It was an off kilter joke about a Man who looked an awful lot like Badger from Breaking Bad getting killed as a result of trying to rip off the wrong people (something Badger would be prone to do) Whilst also making a social commentary about the right to defend ones home.. I didn't want to start a whole new thread for it so, decided that since someone died, the Dead Thread would do..

I felt a pang of sorrow at the passing of Professor Hawking
I hope he's up there somewhere now flirting around the stars and galaxies.

Hawking is a huge loss. He was without doubt one of the greatest scientific minds of our era. Approaching the brilliance on Einstein and Newton IMO.
