I don't quite see the issue on mentioning her daughter to be honest.
She does quite close family links to Iona and pro life campaigns though. Her Niece Maria Steen. Her Sister Theresa Lowe. Her 2 Brothers in law are also strongly linked to pro life campaigns and Catholic organisations.
Fierce uncomfortable with it all to be honest - I'm not at all against people having a faith (sure I've one myself) but I'd like to tease out the notions that such things are not without influence - especially when dealing with issues, topics and situations that have clear macro effects with a deeply ingrained history of counter-protest and campaigns.
The ties between a committed duty to two potentially contra principles and the self reflective space we all hold in ourselves, can be a difficult one to navigate - at least it was nodded at - but no, I don't think my personal vote is in any way for her.
