Thanks for the replies lads. Pat seems happiest with being cut, while Mossy & John are less enthusiastic about it than him. I appreciate the honesty.
Health-wise some seem to think it's good for reducing the levels of HIV and of course that could also be the case if proper hygiene standards are maintained, which I have doubts about. Some guys aren't too clean there at times or don't have the facilities perhaps.
Some cut guys seemingly wouldn't have it any other way but that could be upbringing and culture.
Just something I never gave too much thought to before but interesting for sure.
Duct tape? I need to reflect on that one!
I'm not sure about hiv transmission ? In the US and South Africa circumcision are fairly widespread but hiv levels are high, why do you think circumcision prevents transmission ?
In terms of hygiene
it's easy to wash behind your foreskin no health benefit to not having one - some men do have tight foreskin but it's not necessary mostly to have a circumcision, a small piece of the foreskin can be cut out to allow retraction .
The scar tissue can be really ugly .
It would be interesting to know how many circumcisions go wrong the percentage and what happens in these cases.
