Martina Navratilova is getting a hard time over her stance saying she is transphobic.

I think she is right. In some cases TG athletes have a huge physical advantage that makes competition unfair.

As much as I will champion transgender rights, I agree with her Martina Navratilova in this case. Some transgender women would have an unfair advantage in terms of their physical build when competing.

Aren’t trans taking hormones? Part of transitioning ? FTM testosterone and mtf oestrogen ? Would that cancel the original sex switch advantage ?
Ie a man who has transitioned to a woman should have the correct hormone balance and not be allowed to compete until they reach it .

@sfiderman some do but they would still have height and natural strength
Also correct me if I am wrong but under the gender recognition laws you just declare your gender you dont have to be transitioning or have any intent to do so.

That was a crazy law and needs to be revoked.

A man couldn't compete in women's sports who hadn't transitioned because they wouldn't pass the mandatory testing ... they'd be outliers so they'd be automatically disqualified .

But they have to have to be in a certain range of hormone levels to qualify? Is that right?

Is testosterone completely suppressed in a transitioned male ? Is it equivalent to female levels? And every other marker ?

I think if they could have competed already they would have, it’s not possible.

The fact we live in a world where people can receive "10,000" of hate messages.
for giving an opinion, is ABSOLUTELY CRAZY.

You're talking about trial by mob, for expressing your right as an individual to have an educated opinion.

I think measuring testosterone is too unfair to women born with high testosterone.
