Has the "all men are oppressors" complaining gone a tad too far, to amount to "cuntplaining"?
Or are we getting closer to a fairer society?
I have heard some women in meeting calling out mansplaining anytime they are being contradicted, when there was no actual instance of mansplaining at play.
Or giving out about the manspread even when they are not affected by it, and whe nin fairness some of it is simply linked to a relaxed attitude to sitting combined with a bone structure that if found in all primates.
I even heard a woman using the term completely out of context and clearly displaying a deep lack of understanding of the concept. And she reacted to a female colleague trying to correct her understanding with "are you trying to mansplain mansplaining to me"?
It it fair and part of a rebalancing act that the pendulum swings back so far past the equilibrium point of reason?
Or is there a risk that crying wolf all the time will demean the value of the "me too" movement and turn it into a new puritanism?
