It is worth a fresh thread: it has been called for the 8th of February, at last a Saturday vote!

Pity I’ll be away. But who will you support?
(Tiny parties, or parties/groups/labelsvwithout identified leader, excep Independent...)

Verona M is running as an Indo, with a chance.
Will Maria B “run” too, despite her extensive injuries?

I'm voting for 1st Social Democrats as they want to make Ireland more affordable and Greens no 2 as none of the parties in power FF/FG/SF seem to have anything so far for environment, have not banned pesticides that are killing bees which are already banned in France and other EU countries, have not increased duty Diesel despite receiving advice that it's worse then petrol, did not offer same incentives to people as Norway to switch to Electric cars. Can't vote FF/FG they have done zero for home less people and HSE is crying out for reform nothing happening no middle management or admin staff being cut only thing that is happening is waiting lists are getting longer.

Also they have not invited the Japanese back to build the metro as none of their mates would get a cut.

I might vote 3rd for Labor at least they might do something which is not centered around big corporates and their mates.

You really think that car batteries are “green”?
I see marketing will always have something to sell...

Might vote FG as they seem to be safer hands than FF.

The choice on offer is rather underwhelming, bordering on depressing. I'd say the best realistic outcome of this election might be a FF/Labour/Greens "Rainbow II" type coalition, with Labour in govt the housing issue is sure to be prominent in being tackled.

The prospect of a Shinners/FF coalition is a nightmare one and FG back in government will only mean more of the same. The govt are hoping that the economy and Brexit will shore up their vote, but their abject failures on housing, health, rural Ireland, the Maria Bailey fiasco and lately that RIC/DMP "commemoration" plan will cost them votes for sure.

As usual there will be the single issue clutter of Independents in the running and already this morning on my way in to work the posters are being festooned up on the lampposts.

As per usual, I will give Labour my No.1 vote, then maybe Social Democrats No.2 and Greens No 3. No votes for FG or FF from me...

FG's latest strategy for dealing with the homeless, toss them in the garbage. Hope the lad recovers. Seriously what the fuck is wrong with our Government.

Don't go too far left, you may end up with a Right mess and it is SD for me. Anyone voting FG/FF/L, would want to have their head examined and arse kicked.
