why bother.. soon as ur tested u can become infected again... its not HIV. its in the air.. ur going to get it sooner or later.

The answer is NO according to an American report on RTE last evening it would be rare to become reinfected. People, have respect for your fellow peers in Ireland and have the test if you think you have contacted it, the worst case scenario being, if you infected someone that was a fatal risk and died as a result.

Be responsible, it is also our Irish attitude a why bother, yes bother is the message now!

HSE swamped with requests from people to get tested.
Some ready to lie about being at risk!

I don’t see the point.

No point in getting tested unless you have symptoms.
If you feel you might have it: self-isolate, that’s being respectful, as if you had it.
If you start having symptoms, then get your GP involved by phone, and get tested securely.
But straining the testing infrastructure will uselessly prevent serious cases being detected and taken care of.

A load of people around town today, as if it didn't exist and I'd say they'll have to introduce mandatory isolation or total lockdown.

That would be madness and over the top.
Are you willing to live 2 weeks without running water, electricity or food or phone services/internet? Obviously no...

Good answer blaH

I do admit to carelessly not suggesting "self-isolate first"

Thank you for pointing that one out

No worries.

That’s why I self-isolated this thread away from the craze of the others

i don't think anyone really needs to get tested unless they're showing symptoms of the virus. At least thats my understanding. Just keep washing your hands and coughing into your arm or sleeve and keep practising social distancing as you should be ok but don't be complacent.

What are you blowing about, how will people's internet/esb/water etc. be cut off? If they have to stay at home, a few weeks and seriously get a f in grip.

Not so, it's not in the air because it can't survive for long outside a host, it is ONLY transmitted through the exchange of bodily fluids like spit so if people keep their hands clean and practice social distancing they could very well never catch it.

People always fear viral infections as they do not understand them (even some doctors have upped their antibiotic prescriptions... which even I know have no effect on a virus...), and they think “rabid rapid zombies”.
