Art - Do You Create Or Appreciate?

So how many on the boards here are art lovers? Have you got some striking and original artworks hanging on your wall, or even better, do you draw, sketch or paint yourself?

I have been painting and sketching for a couple of years now - I liked art in school but didn't continue it after my Inter Cert (yes, it was a long, long time ago - 1990 in fact!!) I make pottery/ceramics every now and then - there is an old thread on my stuff here - but these days I enjoy painting and sketching more which is a very mindful, calming activity.

I'm no Picasso or Monet but I did win first prize in a joint Shine/Hail art exhibition /competition and I do weekly evening art classes to improve my skills.

Here's a couple of examples of my recent work...

I like digital art, I love photoshopping stuff (well actually I use Gimp but say that word too many times on here and you attract the attention of the wrong type of people )

Did this to my pic for Holloween last year and used it as my avatar everywhere, people kept asking me who did my make-up

Nice work @Jupiter & @KillerFrost

Music and story writing for me... Unless you want stick men, drawn with crayons, with a sun in the top corner.

Very good Jupiter

I'm not very arty myself but I once made a class wolf in pottery which I have on display.

Yes, a deep deep love for it. I cut a very frustrated figure at the moment as my living circumstances don't allow me to use my monitors. Have to try and make everything on headphones and i just can't get a sound that is acceptable to me.
