What Media Do You Trust? (Media Bias Thread)

# 1 : Monday 5-10-2020 @ 11:47

Alternative facts have been a trademark of the past 4 years, and I experienced it this weekend when I kept checking the news about Trump in both CNN (liberal), and the Trump-tweet-carbon-copy FoxNews...

I never saw such opposite takes on reality in media. But even in Ireland we know the media have a bias.
Do you tend to trust the media you share a bias with, or do you trust media from “the other side” to provide a valuable light on what you already accept as facts?

I rarely follow the news anymore, it's all the same stuff everyday. I have a vague idea what's going on but at this point the news is like any soap opera you'd see on tele. Basically you could stop watching it for a year and all it takes is to watch it once and you'll be completely caught up because characters may come and go but the storyline never changes

No news outlet can be trusted any more, if they ever could in the first place.. The left right divide grows stronger every day facilitated by the various media barons, governments & corporations. The ultimate goal being to divide us along black & white lines. "A nation divided against itself cannot stand".. The ultimate goal, as I have mentioned before, is to gradually reduce the population, strip the earth of it's few remaining resources, allowing enough time for us to develop colonisation technology so that the mega wealthy and their progeny can eventually flee to the cosmos leaving the rest of us to burn. ara sure, I'll be well dead by then so, I don't really give a fiddlers any more..

No Mango. But I am also skeptical of all the official media outlets as well.

I avoid almost all US news media. I generally cross reference news headlines from the Independent, BBC, RTE, and The Journal. But i don't read into the articles too much. This world depresses me.

I was wondering why Fox website did not feature the car ramming the capitol very much yesterday.

They give the answer this morning, where it is all over the front page: they were deceived by MSNBC on how interesting the story would be to their readers...
MSNBC erroneously reported that Capitol attack suspect was a 'White male'

Do you never find insight in other media, even insight into bias?
