Was just wondering for all of you crossdressers out there, if you could chose an era in terms of dressing, which era would you choose?
For me, i'd choose somewhere between the 1960s and the 1980s. Love those fashions of those particular eas.

I'd choose the Adam and Eve period.

Like I said before (I'm pretty sure on one of your other threads) fashion is cyclical, there is nothing that women wore between the 50's and 90's that you wouldn't easily be able to wear today without anyone batting an eyelid, retro is the new chic

I can't see the 70's look, making a comeback though?

The 70s look was the big fashion era for me Male and Female

yep. You've got to remember that some fashion trends do sometimes tend to come back into fashion, though.

Mini skirts have been around since the 1920 (although it could be argued that were invented as far back as Roman times) it's just they were called "Short skirts" then, it is just the name "miniskirt" that was invented in the 60's. There is actually a theory that you can tell how well a countries economy is doing in any given time frame based on the length of skirts the women are wearing at the time and it more or less goes that women wear longer skirts in times of economic crisis although I wouldn't use it as a reliable gauge while playing the stock market or anything.

I think and have seen fashion is indeed a wheel and always reinvented aswell..like someone will wear an outfit that mabey they just needed to go to the shop and it can become a trend...and of course occasion is also a factor too as to some things you need to dress for the occasion etc xxxx

I always regret not applying to the Grafton Academy , completed my portfolio after my pre-design course in Dun Laoghaire College of Art, but a career opportunity arose in the drinks' industry and I went for it instead.
