The Binding Art Of Shibari. Or Kinbaku?

# 1 : Wednesday 20-1-2021 @ 11:52

Shibari and Kinbaku are both linked to tying people with ropes.
Shibari seems connected to torture and sexual bondage as an S.M. practice.
Kinbaku seems more preoccupied with the sensual esthetics of it, and the impossibility to move.

I must admit that I do not understand the attraction for either.
Can someone make it clearer, without turning everyone off?

Nah.
Thanks.
But I value my freedom, and I am too controlling for it to be enjoyable.
Also I do not find being sausaged up the most flattering...

Thus my query for enlightenment: telling people to just try it is not a phenomenological description.
It's a drug pusher's peddling.

It's other people experiences that I wonder about. A sales pitch. Not a sales push

What do you want to know about it, you must have some interest in it or you would not ask ... it's not always sexual it in its self is a Japanese art, there is a Teaneck to it, also safety rules apply when roping the various parts of the body. It's like drawing, every little that is added helps complete the picture. Suspension is only one element, the art of roping is the important side along with the designs made with the ropes. The rope material is hemp, we also take lessons from the instructor once a month. In the place we hire to practice there is no nudity allowed as it is a public building, anyway for us it's not about nudity also the ages range from 20s to 70s.

Reading about it is one thing the experience is the other, it's a hobby, of course you have movement, you are not nailed to a cross. Some will participate in BDSM and the rules of that are consensual and want it when roped most just enjoy the art.

We are getting closer to something interesting.
This was quite an administrative description though. Still not an experience-based engagement.

For the past 3 years I have experienced it physically, to me it's not a turn on but an artistic rush. The canvas is uncapable of showing physical appreciation of your work whereas your subject the human canvas can

I can't say I'd consider hog tying a person, or being hog tied, an art form. Saying that though I wouldn't consider it, or BDSM, as acts of dominance or submission, they are only the delusions of it since real dominance/submission would be the opposite of consent although in reality BDSM is nothing more than another form of Cosplay anyway. They may as well just all dress up like Furries and be done with it since half the shit they wear comes off the back of a cow anyway

Still can't see the appeal.

I think it takes a certain type of mind to find appeal in it, a somewhat broken one

Without assuming broken, I can think that it comes with very specific life experiences.

But less judging, from my part.
They could be positive experiences: this is what I am struggling to assess.
