Well, I have had a lot on my mind lately. Reading isn't good for me to do before trying to sleep because it just encourages my mind to think more.

I just googled insomnia advice and there seems to be a lot of advice out there! The one above has a lot of different suggestions, maybe one or two will work for you?

I drink a large glass of warm milk and take some anti-acid. always sleep within 10 minutes. think my problem is due to heartburn caused by thinking too much and getting stressed out!

If I'm having trouble sleeping I find listening to barely audible music on my ipod sends me off. Or if that doesn't work its the perfect time to lie still, meditate and have an OOB experience.

I have at times gone to bed at 11pm and still been awake at 2am, this I find is mostly due to something being on my mind..But I reckon the Drink and pills are no addition and cut out..or at least down your caffeine intake cola, tea etc because its amazing how it can affect you.

Well, here I am again...2:17am.

I can't blame my insomnia on caffeine...I avoid it. The only time I'll drink a Coke is if I'm hungover.

Hmmm, the other night due to insomnia I signed up for a ten lesson free course in esperanto by email.

Perhaps you should see insomnia as an opportunity to do a lot of pointless activities that you can then use as jumping off points for conversations at parties?

I have eaten too much sugar today.

I was up until the wee small hours last night, couldn't sleep. And now I'm up and working and all I can think of is getting back into bed. I'm working from home this morning and my bed is about 4 meters away. Give me strength!
